November 14 , 2007: German Release Cancelled

About a month ago, I received the sad news that the Brendow publishing company has decided to canel the German release of The Traveler. Brendow was originally excited about the success of C.S. Lewis's Narnia series after the release of the first Disney film, so they attempted to expand into this market. But all their new fantasy and science fiction releases in the past eighteen months were a flop, so they've decided to withdraw from this genre.

Although I understand their decision, it is very disappointing. On the other hand, the decision had nothing to do with the quality of my novel, which is encouraging, and I'm still hoping to find a publisher for the series.

August 22, 2007: Release next spring

Just a quick note: The Brendow publishing company has decided to release the German edition of The Traveler next spring (2008) instead of this fall to coincide with the German opening of Disney's second Narnia film Prince Caspian. Sorry, no publisher for the English edition yet. I'll keep you posted.

I also inserted a short paragraph on the Genesis page regarding ADD.

March 28, 2007: There is always hope...

...even for this website! *laugh*

It's unbelievable, but it's finally online. It took me almost a year, but I got it done. So I guess I came back slugging, huh? Well, all right, at least I'm alive and kicking.

For now, the website hasn't changed much. All I did was a redesign, but the content is pretty much the same. Of course, if you miss the old website, you'll find it by clicking here.

Anyway, for all you newcomers, this is my official website. With all the scary, depressing stuff going on everywhere, I hope it'll be a place where you can come to get away from it all, perhaps even recharge your batteries a little. The color theme of this new website could be called out of the darkness and into the light. It was made especially for you, so enjoy.

Last Fall

In November I received some good news! The Traveler will be released in a German edition by the Brendow publishing company in Moers, Germany in fall 2007. I'll keep you posted.

On a sadder note, The High Priestess, which was supposed to be released last fall, never made it to print. My former publisher, VMI Publishers in Sisters, Oregon, and I mutually decided to cancel our publishing agreements for the first AND second volume of the series. This means The Traveler will no longer be available in English when bookstores run out of supply. I'm currently looking for a new publisher.

"Even in the darkest moments and under the most devastating circumstances, there is always hope..."
-- The Traveleress, Reflections of the Soul
"Lovers of science fiction will find not only fascinating characters and plenty of adventure, but an invitation to an inner journey farther-reaching than even the most intriguing voyage to realms of rich imagination."
-- Elizabeth Sherrill, Co-author of The Cross and the Switchblade
